Unlike the Puritans, who attempted but failed to "purify" society by banning Christmas, the average unregenerate drone of Enculturation, simply cannot fathom, not being a mindless automaton of their inherited culture, along with all of its inherited sin-acts, traditions, rituals and lifestyles. Without having their own mind and any original thoughts, the monkey-see-monkey-do masses, must and will, copy-mimic-parrot whatever they are told or sold. But before 1850, US citizens did not "dream" of Christmas, at all!
The Spiritually lost (the damned) must therefore, follow those in front of them (Matt 15:13-14); to blindly comply with those who came before them: Without the YHVH-Love that would empower them to transcend their enculturation; to see all of this for what it is; they will comply because they have been assimilated. They exist without the Love-centric empowerment to even question their enculturation, much less transcend it completely; the power to question or oppose anything that does not align with the lifestyle and commandments of Messiah Yeshua.
Christmas (especially in the West) not only has nothing whatsoever to do with Christ, it is in fact, a byproduct of the many anti-Messiahs among us as a species. I will go so far as to say that Christmas is of the devil; the evidence of that is overwhelming to all Saved people (the infinitesimal Elect of YHVH), but of course, the Spiritually blind cannot see this, or anything like it. Hence, their eternal doom secured, especially if they have been culturally christianized and churched (Matt 7:21-23).
There are no humans on Earth, anywhere or ever, who are conquered by the Indwelling Holy Spirit, who then celebrate Christmas Day, which is anathema to all Heaven-bound saints; to all disciples of Messiah Yeshua. Our calling and our duty is not to be drones of Enculturation; instead, we are to teach freedom in Messiah Yeshua, which will unbound those trapped in tradition (Matt 15:3-9).
So why do the christianized celebrate it? The question answered itself! They are christianized but not metamorphosized! They have been indoctrinated with their culture-brand of religion, but they have not died to this life; to blind enculturation; died to their ego-pride-emotions, and surrendered unconditionally unto the supreme and eternal Lordship of Messiah Yeshua. And without the Indwelling Holy Spirit, which brings YHVH-Love into us otherwise Loveless mammals, we humans being, not only have no Love, without Messiah Yeshua, humans cannot even so much as comprehend it.
All Messianic disciples, as the (infinitesimal and inconspicuous) Elect of YHVH; we already know the math of the Messiah, which is learned in Matthew Seven: That the bulk of humanity are doomed into the blackness of darkness; the spacial abyss of empty space; outer Darkness, where their unresurrected eternal Souls will be kept far from all planetary bodies, just like one keeps pedophiles far from Day Care's.
But why do they infect their children in such a Loveless way? Lovelessness! Without Christ-in-you – without the overwhelming empowerment of Love, which comes unto us humans, only and exclusively by the Indwelling Holy Spirit – the bulk of humanity are destined unto Broadway; the super-fast superhighway leading into the great abyss of empty space. And even YHVH cannot stop it.
Compare John 3:16-21 with Matt 7:13-14. The very Savior that came to make salvation possible (Salvation is His name), was also the one who taught us that His personal sacrifice will not benefit the sheer masses of humans: Wide is the path and broad is the way (Broadway) that leads to destruction, and most will go that way; but Narrow Way (The Way) is narrow because only an infinitesimal few will earnestly seek it. Predestination indeed!
To teach children mindless consumerism is verily, one manifestation of Lovelessness indeed, and so the question becomes, why? Are these parents malevolent or just lost? Some argue that replacing Christ with Santa is indeed malevolent. But I must/will give the benefit of doubt, and say they are just blind to the Spiritual. They are lost inside of the tiny shoebox of their Enculturation, and do not know of any other life, but what is in the box. By comparison, my world (as a disciple of Messiah Yeshua) is literally thousands-times that, and without exaggeration!
Therefore, and like the blinded person, they really have no choice, in their Spiritual blindness, but to follow those nearby them, geographically and in time. They can only copy-mimic-parrot their cultural directives, and indeed, they would feel out of place, not to do so (1Jo 2:15-20; 2Co 6:14-18; Rom 12:1-2; Eph 2:18-22; 4:17-19, 20-24; Heb 6:1-3, 4-6).
The unforgivable sin is to mock YHVH; it is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit in the world (Matt 12:30-33), mostly by pretending to be a Christian, all the while, living an antiChrist life and lifestyle; one who claims to represent The Messiah, but lives by satanic rules and instructions; material temptation being at the root and core (study the temptation of Messiah Yeshua). Christmas is specifically a temptation holiday; it instills a normalcy to consumerism, materialism and excess: It spoils children (Matt 18:1-5, 6-11), which by the way will assure your eternal doom.
All the props of Christmas are demonic; Santa Clause replaces Messiah Yeshua, the miraculous bringer of eternal gifts (Matt 6:19-25; 19:21-26). But the christianized lost, must and will, justify, rationalize, and validate (Luke 16:13-15), all that their enculturation has shaped and molded them to think; to live; to act; to be (John 3:19-21), and only an unconditional surrender unto the supreme and eternal Lordship of Messiah Yeshua – from a death-to-self, living under an actual Lordship – can ultimately free them from their enculturation shoebox incarceration.
The christianized masses will live and die, without even comprehending what the word "Lordship" even means, much less will it define their very existence. For the lost, their lord is money, and all that it represents in this world. The duty of all disciples of Messiah Yeshua, is to plant these very truth seeds, in obedience to the Law of Love.
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you that are Spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the Law of Messiah Yeshua. For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word, communicate unto him that teaches in all good things. Be not deceived, for God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh, reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:1-10) {cf. John 14:23-24; 15:10-14, 15-17}
