Meet 5 Men Who Think They’re Messiah

Meet 5 Men Who Think They're Messiah!

This blog page is about the intriguing National Geographic article titled: Meet Five Men Who All Think They’re the Messiah (read first).
As a boy (the early 1970's) I had as a welcomed gift, a paper magazine subscription to National Geographic magazine: It was a window to the outside world for this poor white US Midwest boy (with no Internet, nor world news). And I still read NG online, and where I read this article.

Messiah Yeshua taught about His second coming; the evidence unmistakable and obvious to all:

If any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Messiah, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false messiah's, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, inasmuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very Elect. Behold, I have told you before. Therefore, if they shall say unto you: Behold, He is in the desert! Go not forth: Behold, He is in the secret chambers! Believe it not. For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. Then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of Earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His Elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matt 24:23-31) {Read entire chapter of Matt 24 for context}

How could anyone believe some mortal man – who imitates their cultures Jesus caricature version – to be the Lord of all creation, Messiah Yeshua, returning? Answer: satan playing with the gullible! Messiah Yeshua Himself, made it abundantly clear that His second coming would be unmistakable, and indeed, global; thus, what kind of lies are these demonic men saying to these simpleton drones?

I must therefore give these followers the benefit of the doubt, and assuming they are not totally insane, must therefore assume that they must not have a bible to read. After all, the message clearly announced (in Matthew) is blatant and detailed. In fact, as the time nears its inevitable end, these false christ's will actually be more like (the currently famous magician) David Copperfield, than like these staged clowns in Jesus gowns. Of course, Messiah Yeshua was an average looking brown-skinned Jew, not a white or asian or black man. Blind enculturation indeed!

There is a clear difference between a disciple of Messiah, and a follower of men, and especially these men. The photojournalist of this National Geographic article is likely not a disciple of Messiah; and that's OK: Otherwise, he would have immediately known this obvious difference. But he was creating a news article, not trying to correct the obvious error of the people involved.

As the word goes, a disciple is not a person who merely follows another person around, nor one who merely joins a private community (I'm all for Community). I am a disciple of Messiah, and the evidence of that reality is that I mimic my Master, Messiah Yeshua (in lifestyle mainly), by not following any other mere mortal, at all: I'm Messiah-centric, not religion-centric.

The apostles of Messiah Yeshua were discipled by their (and now my) Master, indeed; however, this discipleship (like any education or directive) was to prepare them to live a Messiah-centric life on Earth, not to become like a flock of mindless sheep, of whom ironically, Messiah used sometimes in an unflattering way (Matt 7:13-20; 9:35-38; 10:5-7, 16; 18:11-14); the logic being the representation of the Spiritually blinded, stumbling through life and always lost, just like sheep without a shepherd, as easy pickings (not exactly flattering or complimentary).

Verily, verily I say unto you; he that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter opens, and the sheep hear His voice, and He calls His own sheep by name, and leads them out. And when He puts forth His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice. A stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not, the voice of strangers. This parable Yeshua spoke unto them, but they understood not, what things they were which He spoke unto them.
Then said Yeshua unto them again: Verily, verily I say unto you; I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I came that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep. The hireling flees because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down My life for the sheep. Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd! (John 10:1-16)

But the questions posed by/in this article are good and require answers, directly from a living disciple of Messiah:

Q: When is "soon" and who is "I"?

A: Somewhat answered already, but the Lord of all creation (the "I") – upon His Second Coming – all creation will know it is He upon arrival (even the animal kingdom). The "when" was intended to be a mystery in most of scripture; prophecy being a feature of time, and YHVH the creator of time, is not subject to it nor controlled by it. YHVH can fast-forward or rewind anytime in spacetime.

Spiritual wisdom is on a need-to-know basis, and, limited only to those humans who are trustworthy; that is, via the Indwelling Holy Spirit. It is not about being a Christian, it is about a radical epochal transformation in your every second of life-forward, a lifestyle so radically different than the average person that you will be looked upon as a bit strange by/to the masses.

Q: If Christ were to come back to complete his work today, what would he think of the world we've created? And what would we think of him?

A: The Faithless-Godless-Loveless human masses have so carelessly altered the very planet that YHVH originally created, I am sure this bitterly failed stewardship will both grieve and anger Messiah Yeshua. In fact, planet Earth will be ruined by the Godless human infestation, at least to the point that as a planet designed for habitation, it will be rendered uninhabitable for the very creation originally outfitted for its uniqueness.

For the infinitesimal Elect of YHVH that will be alive upon the return of our Love and Master, we/they will be most excited; the anticipated return of The King is what we sing about and hope for and wished could happen today. For the bulk of humanity however, as they live in paranoia, opposition, adversarialism, warmongering, and gun-toting fear; they will see this as an invasion at first. Honestly, I cannot say for sure what all the wild crap they will be thinking, but I do know what they will not be thinking.

Q: I know a lot of people will dismiss these men as fakers or lunatics. But I've always thought that a fundamental part of the Abrahamic religions – Judaism, Christianity, Islam – involves the coming of a messiah. Those faiths may disagree about identity and timing, but I think they agree on the basic premise. So if one accepts that why couldn't it be one of these guys?

A: Again, somewhat already answered. Summarily and candidly; one would have to be a simpleton to even consider these guys; in fact, these guys are more likely demon possessed. When we take on the mind of Messiah (1Co 2:12-16), we do not become nor remain simpleton; quite the opposite. But this grouping of religion, while convenient, is based upon one's enculturation, which is surely misleading: YHVH is not the product of the human mind, but all religion is.

However, it is correct to recognize all these religions as having the same origins, as well as the same leader: the leader of all religion, ever on Earth, is satan! What separates a discipleship with Messiah Yeshua, from the very notion of religion itself, centers on the fact that Messiah Yeshua came to Earth, in Person, precisely to abolish all forms of religion; they exist as a set of rules and rituals and rites, traditions and laws (Matt 15:1-4, 5-9), from which, men can lord that power over others.

The organized religion businesses, which thrived on Earth then, were challenged by all the apostles and disciples of Messiah Yeshua, with Yeshua Himself calling out the Pharisees specifically (and by character, the pharisaic of all times/cultures) as the evil upon all evils, because they were men exploiting and monetizing YHVH for earthly gains, and then pretending outwardly to be the representatives of YHVH, all the while living lifestyles of indifference: The unforgivable sin; a mockery of the Holy Spirit (Matt 12:30-33).

Christendom does not represent Messiah Yeshua, nor His Lordship. The Xians of Religianity (the mere christianized) represent the hoards of (end-time prophetic) antiChrist's. In fact, most self-professing Christians will live and die, without even a concept of Lordship itself, much less will a Lordship under Messiah Yeshua, define them or shape their every waking second, and determine their life-path, both here on Earth and thus eternally. They merely become consumers of religion, and nothing more.

Those who participate in the car cult alone – as just one example among many – they are so far from the Cross of Messiah Yeshua, that if they do not fully understand this truth (and painfully), they cannot and will not see the Kingdom of Heaven. Blind followship is a tell; a trait of the evil one: Those who call Messiah Lord, but are blinded by/to their enculturation, will be saying (experiencing) some variation of this, on Judgment Day, as they try for the millionth time (Luke 16:13-15) to justify themselves via the consumption of, or adherence to, religion and its respective or correlating outward traits:

Many will say to Me on that day: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And in Your name have cast out devils? And in Your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them: I never knew you; depart from Me, you that work iniquity! Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that hears these sayings of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell; and great was the fall of it. (Matt 7:22-27)
